i love sundays

greg is quitting the hotdog place because he officially works at zeitgeist's now. yay yay yay! he loves it there and i'm so damn happy for him! it helps that the people there are fanatastic, they've already made me feel like family so i can imagine how great it is to work with people like them. tonight, i'm meeting greg at Z's after he's done working and we are going to celebrate a bit. should be a grand time. before i meet greg though i've gotta work and then i'm stopping by a friend's graduation bbq/party. sundays are good days :)

snip snip snip snip snip snip

i cut my hair off last night! it's pretty short in the back now and my bangs are longish (can still tuck the hair behind my ears.) i did it all by myself too and it doesn't look too horrible in the back. greg said he liked it. i love it. it feels nice, it was getting so ratty looking (and feeling) from the bleaching. i'm prepping the ol' hair so i can grow it back long and healthy. i'll get a pic soon.

weirdness

so my poor friends Pat and Gretchen, came home thursday night to find their apt building had caught on fire. thankfully, their cats are alive and well and none their personal belongings were damaged by the fire. however, their building is now inhabitable. :( so now they have to find a new home. what a mess.

the weirdness factor is that just a few minutes ago, while reading through some random blogs, i found this entry over at no one special: night on fire. weird!

pats self on back

i did it. i got my thank you notes in the mail. except for two that still need addresses. i fucking did it. whew, nice to have that off my back. i felt like a dumbass though, writing thank you's for something that happened 11 months ago. and i feel doubly dumbassy for the 10 or so thank you's i did back at the end of september which will be received in the next 5 days or so. i hope they still make sense (they were sealed so i couldn't re-read them!)

yay for the t-wolves! i don't know if they can beat the lakers but congrats to them for making it this far!

yay for weekends

today began my weekend. i slept til 2pm. my plan is to lounge about the house not doing too much. i want to clean up a bit but nothing to strenuous. and then tomorrow i face reality, laundry and errands! ahhh weekends.

what am i doing up this early?

to most people, it's not so early (ask greg) but for me, goddamn, it's early!! today i work "normal" hours, 9-4.30. yay!

so yeah, good morning world and happy mother's day. my mom doesn't celebrate this holiday (as while as every other holiday) but she knows how much i love her. and to my mom-in-law, who does celebrate, i'll be putting her card in the mail tomorrow. i know, i know. but i am horrible at getting cards mailed on time. i always think of it too late. my excuse...i don't have much practice since i never had to do any of this holiday stuff growing up! maybe someday, i'll be more on the ball. lol! anyway, mom-linda, we love you!
