so in other more fun news, Croka is visiting us for a long weekend. YAY! it's so fucking great to see him and hang out with him and just have him here! the guys have been having fun exploring the city and checking out our favorite watering holes. i've been stuck working since i couldn't get the time off so last minute but sunday is the big day of fun that i can actually partake in. yay for days off of work.

so it's been awhile since i posted any pics. i'll make sure to get fresh batteries and bring my cam on sunday. i'm trying to get a few people from work to join us and make it a big fun bash. the more the merrier right!

another post about my job

it's official, i've been promoted! got the keys and the shirt yesterday (and the raise!) i'm taking it all in stride, cuz really, it's not like the promotion was a surprise to me. but it feels great to officially have the title of superviser. and i'll be getting some time off the first week of august to relax. my mind has been and continues to go go go. i'm learning all these new things and new responsibilities. i have to -think- and be on top of things. it's fun. i'm certainly not bored but i just wish the dreams about work would stop! ah wells, soon enough, i'll be an old hat at this position and then it'll start all over again, the push to be doing something new.

sprung

well today, the subject of my facial piercings came up while talking with my manager about my training and progress. to get the promotion i'll have to remove my eyebrow and labret piercings. part of me is screaming, NO WAY. but my more responsible side is saying, okay sure no big deal. i think i'll try concealing them before i give in and let them close (i know i'll forget to replace my piercings after every shift and they'll close up completely on me.)

i met the regional manager yesterday and he also gave me a condition to my promotion, i'd need to get a car eventually. again, i'm conflicted. i love -not- having a car. ya know the whole no car payment, no insurance payment, no repair costs and no gas expense. on the other hand, i'd love to be able to take all my laundry to the laundromat, take a drive out to the country on my days off or go to target (oh how i miss target!) but i talked with greg and we decided that when we can, we will buy a used car with good gas mileage.

so except for the facial piercing situation being sprung on me at the meeting, everything is going great! my manager loves me and my work and had all good things to say in our meeting today. he couldn't tell me exactly when i'd be promoted but that it will happen.
