so i leave for minneapolis in a week! i'm going solo as we couldn't afford two tickets so my trip will be short, i'm coming back monday evening. but i'll get to spend a good two and half days or so with the family and two days with my friend kirsten for her wedding. i wasn't excited to go at first since greg isn't coming but i'm getting more excited now. the wedding will be fun and seeing my family will be great! i also hope to see sassy and jeff and my friend mindy as well as my nephew who i've never met (he's two and a half now!) i think i'll be able to fit everyone in!
i'm going to take the new (to me) light rail transit from the airport to downtown. even though it'll be super early (5-6am-ish) i'll traipse around downtown for a bit and then catch a bus to the western 'burbs where my momma can pick me up. i don't think i'll be able to spend much time or any time in mpls so this early morning trip will probably be the only time i am actually in the city. i just want to see it again. i don't really -miss- mpls but i know if i'm in the area i'll want to see my old home. and it'll be interesting to see mpls now since i've lived in a bigger city for almost two years. i also want to at least drive through my hometown of mound. i wonder how much it's changed? i'm going to bring my camera so i'm sure i'll have plenty of pics to share. and since i can update this here blog from any computer i might even get some pictures up from MN.
