i get to go back to work on saturday! i'm limited to transitional duties, which basically means i can't lift or push or pull anything over 25lbs. but i can do other things like facing, paperwork, helping customers, checking on orders etc etc! yay, money! and i my neck and shoulder are feeling better so that's good too!

so i bought sims 2 finally! i LOVE LOVE LOVE this game. it's my new crack! but my 'puter just meets the requirements to play so it's s-l-o-w often but oh well, i multitask while i play hehe.

last night greg and i saw negativland at great american music hall. it was a live show of their radio show over the edge and was titled "it's all in your head FM". it was all about religion and i was blown away! they passed out blindfolds since there was no visuals because it was their weekly radio show and putting on the blindfold intensified the whole experience. so cool. i hope to find a recording because i want to listen to it again and i'll of course share it here.

so i'm almost done with my kitchen organizing. all i have left to do is really clean the floors. ya know, getting down on my hands and knees and using some elbow grease. but once i get to that task, the kitchen will be complete! it's all organized like i want it. we are borrowing rob's vacuum cleaner so i can vacuum the whole place. and laundry is on my list of to-dos for tomorrow. i need to go to two doctor's appts tomorrow and then i'm hitting the laundromat. yes, i slacked on doing a few small loads of laundry this week because of sims 2. but i'll keep plugging away at the monster pile. yes someday it will be conquered! ahhaahahh!!! okay, i'm boring myself now, time for more sims!

oh, one more thing, i'm still on my crafty kick, i sewed up another pair of jeans for greg. i'm getting so damn domesticated it's kinda scary!

crafty!

i fixed up some stuff today! i handsewed a bottom into a bag that i love but couldn't use until now! i also fixed a cig burn in greg's jacket and sewed up a hole in a pair of his jeans. about three months ago, i sewed an old t-shirt print onto the back of a greg's hoody. it turned out so great!  i'll get a pic of that up soon.

oh yah

well, i'm out of work for at least a week because i hurt my neck and right shoulder. physical therapy two more times and a check in with my doctor on friday.  hopefully i'll be back in shape by then so i can work. so...i'm trying to think of all these projects i can do at home. and ideas i've got. but i have to be careful, can't do anything too stenuous. i figure i'll do small loads of laundry (no lifting over 25lbs) three times this week. i'll get most of the monster pile of laundry done. i want to clean the kitchen from top to bottom with some reorganizing and then making of yet another list of what is needed. the bathroom is looking good actually. probably only need to clean the tub, sink and toilet. maybe i'll scrub down the floor. the bedroom...i guess here's good place to explain my master plan.

The Master Plan!

the master plan starts with the bedroom. my first project and the most time consuming. first off of course is the monster pile of laundry. this week i shall conquer that task. after the laundry is conquered i can move to easy tasks: organizing clothes, boxes of old school work, boxes of crap i don't wanna throw away, etc etc. then the fun part! i want to turn the bay window area in a little garden with still some areas for the cats to laze. there is already a built-in bench-type thing so just need money for plants, pots and soil. i have already sketched out the layout. and then the most expensive part of my master plan: the sewing machine (and table and iron and ironing board and notions and fabric and storage, oh and i'll most likely take some lessons.) the sewing machine is part two of the bedroom master plan. before that will happen i believe the other parts of my master plan will be completed.

the kitchen: just a few more cooking and baking items needed. first on the list is a new spatula, i broke ours the other day while washing it.

the bathroom: eventually, i'd love a hanging plant in the corner by the window.  and some baskets to hold all the various crap the builds up on the counter top!

the living room: a record player and some paint to finish the tree i started!

so all of this is written down in my planning notebook. i also have a financial notebook. i've gotten all organized and i'm not sure where's it coming from! but i like it. if i can get my financial house in order in two months, i'll be a very fucking happy harmony! once i get my other plans and of course the master plan completed, i'll probaby fucking explode!

here's a list of things i'd like to do or accomplish in the sometime near future:

• get ALL the laundry done
• arrange bedroom the way i want it
• get a sewing machine
• sew! (duh)
• get my finances under control

hmm so i painted a tree on my living room wall.  it's not complete yet because i ran out of paint but i'll be buying paint soon and when it's all done, i'll post a pic.  i think it's going to turn out fucking great!

greg and i have managed to keep our apt clean for one whole month (go us!) and we are now in the habit of maintaining (ya know like we actually pick up after ourselves hehe) 

we are going to kansas for christmas.  yay!

okay, that's it.  i guess i had a bit to say eh?
