My MIL arrives today, in roughly three hours or so. I'm pretty proud
of myself, I have finished almost everything on my list of things to do
before she arrives. All the laundry and linens in the house are clean,
the spare bedroom is ready for it's inhabitant for the next two weeks
and my living room is clean enough (hard to keep this room totally
clean, it's also the baby's playroom so there are toys and shit
everywhere.) I just have to clean the bathroom and kitchen and put
away a few little things in our bedroom before she arrives.
Right now though, LS and I are listening to the Pixies and I'm drinking some coffee.
Speaking of LS....
This
day last year I had woken up Greg about an hour ago to tell him I was
in labor and he needed to rub my back through the contractions. And
finally on Oct 20 at 12:27 am we got to meet our little LS. omg!
LS
has quite the collection of presents to open tomorrow morning. She
also got some bday money that we will have to spend, I'm thinking I'll
get a car next week and me, the baby and Grandma will go shopping at
Target and Babies R Us. There are a few things I want for her, like a
playskool xylophone and a drum and she needs some dressy shoes for the
wedding next week. I pulled out a pair vans she was given at her
shower last year. OMG, they are the cutest things ever on her. I'll
get a pic of her in them to show you all. so damn CUTE!
Tomorrow
morning will be a busy morning of baking and preparing the food for LS'
bday party at Dolores Park. I bought a muffin tin and a candle and
stuff yesterday. Tonight I need to buy the food I'm going to make. I
hope it stays fairly dry today so the ground isn't soaked tomorrow.
There is only a 10% chance of rain tomorrow. yay.
Well, I better get to it.
